Following in the tradition of thanksgiving on this day, I wanted to share the books top 20 books that I am most thankful for (not in importance order, but from childhood favorites until now):
My mother would read Betsy books to my sister and I before bed.
We had a musical version of this book and I still cannot read it without singing.
My favorite book from Roald Dahl (my favorite author until I found The Giver).
My sister and I both love Ramona.
Baby-sitter's Club #1- need I say more? (And it connected me with Jen!!)
My favorite book since I was 12. Changed my life.
My first "big girl" book when I was in middle school. My mom's favorite book.
Both my brother's and husband's favorite picture book.
Promoting environmental protection for 31 years now!
Reminded me how much fun reading can be.
Read the series and discussed it with my brother.
Gave me a new passion and introduced me to Ginny Rorby.
For making poetry so accessible for kids.
My first John Green book.
Changed the way I think about teaching.
So clever! Reignited my love of picture books.
