It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 7/22/13

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? From Picture Books to YA!
It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now...you just might discover the next “must-read” book!
Kellee Moye, of Unleashing Readers, and I decided to give It's Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children's literature - picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit - join us! We love this meme and think you will, too. We encourage everyone who participates to visit at least three of the other kidlit book bloggers that link up and leave comments for them.

Announcement:
Please take note that the IMWAYR button has been updated to include Unleashing Readers.
In case you missed the announcement,
Kellee is now blogging at Unleashing Readers with Ricki Ginsberg.
We will be cohosting IMWAYR from now on.
They launched their blog last week and it's going to be a fabulous resource!
Be sure to grab the updated button!

Last Week's Book Adventures:
I had a decent reading week! Finally! I finished Zebra Forest and read The Doodles of Sam Dibble by J. Press and Wake Up Missing by Kate Messner. Who Owns the Learning is a professional book about letting students drive their learning and was so interesting. Wake Up Missing is awesome! I can't wait to review it. I'm about halfway through Wuthering Height on audio...and if you've read Wuthering Heights, you know what happens about halfway through. I have no idea what happens the rest of the book, but I'm still listening to it. I just barely started Wonder Light by R.R. Russell and Who Owns the Learning by Alan November. I finally got back into my book pics, on Friday so I have a few to share!

Upcoming Book Adventures:
I meant to read and review a panda book last week but didn't get to it, so it's still in my stack to read and review. I'll continue reading Wonder Light by R.R. Russell. I am also desperate to read The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater. I loved The Raven Boys on audio so I hope I enjoy reading Dream Thieves, I'm sure I'll still have the voice of the audiobook narrator in my head as I read. I also want to read Why School by Will Richardson which I should have read ages ago but never have. If you haven't heard of him, don't follow him on Twitter or haven't visited his blog, I definitely recommend it!
