Today is a fun Slice day because I get to share some of my readers' stories! Last week, I shared my story of going vegan and how it reminded me of going wild like Mr. Tiger from Peter Brown's new picture book, Mr. Tiger Goes Wild. Along with some of my great friends: Franki Sibberson, Jen Reed, Alyson Beecher, Colby Sharp, Katherine Sokolowski, and Lauren Given, I hosted a giveaway of three Mr. Tiger Goes Wild prize packs. (Be sure to check to see if you were a winner over at their blogs!) I'm excited to announce my winners here today and to share some of your stories of going wild. Thanks to everyone who participated and to Peter Brown and Little, Brown Books for helping us host an awesome blog tour scavenger hunt. I hope you had as much fun as I did!

Mr. Tiger Goes Wild Prize Pack Winners:

Sheila Powers

Martha Parker

Ben Clanton

Congratulations to these three lucky winners!
And thank you to Little, Brown Books for providing prize packs
to these winners that include a copy of Mr. Tiger Goes Wild by Peter Brown,
a Mr. Tiger poster and Mr. Tiger tattoos.

Here are a few stories of when you went wild!

Linda Baie tells of her rock-climbing experience:

"Rock climbing with students has often been a challenge-how far to go up,
how much do I need to model. But once our guides did a tyrolian traverse across two rock faces, very high up! I had to step down close to the edge in order to hook up-that time I was scared, but my students kept me going, cheering & shouting. I had to do it, & I did! Whew!"

Becky Wilson is proud of her books:

"I think the way I go wild is through my books and classroom library. I have over 1500 books in my classroom. Although my fellow teachers believe that having a classroom library is important, they think I am a little nuts!"

Ben Clanton shared:

"A few years back I told my friends and family that I planned on becoming
a children's book author/illustrator. This came out of the blue for
all of them because previously I had expressed primarily an interest in astrophysics. Most of them were doubtful. Today I've got several published books and more on the way. A wild dream come true!"

Anna Zbacnik shared her wild summer:

"This past summer-- I graduated from grad school, had a baby,
and moved to a new house. It felt pretty WILD to me. Or...maybe I was just crazy. Can't wait to get this book for my library. We love Peter Brown!"

Thanks to everyone who shared their stories of go wild! I loved reading all of them. A big thank you to Peter Brown for entertaining my wild idea for how we could celebrate Mr. Tiger Goes Wild. Not a day goes by that I don't stop and recognize how wild my life is in a good way. I'm so thankful for all the unbelievable experiences and interactions I have had thanks to this blog and Twitter. It's pretty awesome that you all stop by and read my reviews and my thoughts and share your own lives with me. It's wild and completely wonderful.
