This week I'm celebrating dancing like you just don't care!
*throws confetti*
Is there something you have been holding back?
Something you have wanted to try but you are hesitant?
What might that be? And what is preventing you from doing it?
Maybe today is the day!
What are you celebrating this week?
I'm posting this super late on Saturday night but I didn't get a chance to post earlier and I have so much to celebrate today. My friend's wedding was completely wonderful. It was in her aunt's beautiful backyard, the ceremony was there and then the party started right afterwards.
I'm staying with Jennifer Reed who blogs at Reederama. You can read her Celebrate post today where she talks about time, talent and treasure. I have to say that we are doing our best to make the most of my time here in Boston. We had a fun day exploring and then came back in the afternoon to get ready for the wedding.
All day it was rainy and a bit overcast but the sun came out exactly on time for the ceremony and then so we could dance the night away. And that's precisely what we did. The music was crazy but fun and we stayed on the dance floor until the very last song. I'll share more about my Boston trip I'm sure but tonight I wanted to celebrate just how fun dancing is.
There was also an adorable little one-year-old shaking her arms and clapping away to the music. There was a couple who stayed out to dance as much as we did and a few people I pulled onto the dance floor. But my favorite was one man who completely let loose. I could tell that he loved to dance and he didn't care what anyone thought of him. This made me smile. There is something great about doing what you love completely and wholly for yourself. When you are free let loose and let go of any worry of what others might think of you. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we didn't worry about how we might be judged for what we do? Or if we didn't worry about whether we were doing something right or wrong or as good as someone else? What if we followed our hearts and didn't let anyone else's thoughts be a hinderance to our decisions?
I say go for it. Dance how you want to dance. Laugh how you want to laugh. Order three pastries for breakfast, go for a walk in the rain, take selfies in a crowd. Why not?
