Let's Celebrate Zoo Atlanta and Little Shop of Stories!

It's time to CELEBRATE This Week with Ruth Ayres from Discover. Play. Build.  Every week Ruth invites us to share our celebrations from the week and link up at her blog. What a fun way to reflect on everything there is to be thankful for.

This week I'm celebrating Zoo Atlanta and Little Shop of Stories!

*throws confetti*

Last week I was in Atlanta for the ISTE conference (which I'll share more about soon!). It was my first time ever visiting Atlanta and I was so excited to visit Zoo Atlanta to see where Ivan lived. I convinced my friend, Erin, who was traveling with me, to go with me. She's a huge reader and loves Ivan so it didn't take much convincing. As an extra bonus, we got to feed giraffes and watch a panda munch on bamboo like it was a celery stick. It was pretty amazing. Zoo Atlanta is a beautiful zoo. It's shaded and is easy to get around.

After the zoo, we met up with Laurel Snyder who took us to an amazing lunch where I had a vegan sloppy joe and coconut cream pie. Then she took us to Decator to visit Little Shop of Stories. What an absolutely amazing book store! It was so colorful and truly a living celebration of books. We could have spent all day there, it's a gorgeous place.

It's probably time for an Un-Boring List update soon...on this trip I visited Zoo Atlanta and a new-to-me independent bookstore. Hooray!

What are you celebrating this week?
