Every Saturday, join me as I CELEBRATE This Week
with Ruth Ayres from Discover. Play. Build.
People, I love writing, but writing isn't easy. It's silly...I mean, I know writing isn't easy. I've known it all along, but the more I write, the more I realize it. And the more I'm happy to know others feel the same thing.
Writer solidarity - knowing I'm not alone in the ups and downs of writing feels good and helps me keep going. And if I've learned anything in writing, it's that persisting and persevering is the most important thing you can do.
Here's a Storify that someone created of Maria's tweets!
I'm actually inspired to write up my own thoughts
...maybe I'll do that next week!
I hope you enjoy Maria's thoughts on writing as much as I did
and I hope you keep going.
Write on, friends!
I love writing, too, and yes, it's hard. I am so glad I have a supportive community. We should start a Twitter hashtag or something.
ReplyDeleteI love the Teachers Write community. One thing I've definitely learned is that I thrive through the writing process when I have others to talk to along the way!
DeleteExciting to see, Jen. I hope the community will have a great time together.
ReplyDeleteI love Teachers Write during the summer, it has definitely helped me keep going throughout the years!
DeleteI love your celebration. It is very good to have a friend along this writing journey. Thanks for being mine!
ReplyDeleteRuth
I'm happy to be your friend! You are such an inspiration. Write on, girlfriend!
DeleteI love #11 and need to hear that one often "It's hard to have a career as a writer. So? It's also hard to have a career as a cashier. Moaning eats creativity. Work is hard. Hush." Thanks and I love that you keep writing!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good reminder to me too! I do my fair share of moaning...but I always remind myself that writing is just not easy and that I love the challenge of it!
